Friends drop by.
On the same site as a friend? Their roamlet wanders over to yours. Nobody sees which site, not even us.
The field guide.
Fifteen kinds so far. Every roamlet starts as one of these. Which one is yours?
Fair questions.
Does it read my pages?
No. It notices that you visited a site, not what is on it. Each site becomes a scrambled code on your computer, and that code is all it keeps. While you are on a page it checks two things, whether the page is long and whether it is full of code, and remembers only a yes or a no.
Can my friends see what I am browsing?
No. When you and a friend are on the same site, your roamlets meet there. The site’s name never leaves your computer, not to your friend and not to us.
Will it slow my browser down?
It naps a minute after you stop moving the mouse, and a napping roamlet costs next to nothing. It wakes up when you come back.
What does it cost?
Nothing. No ads either.
Do I need an account?
No. Your roamlet lives in your browser from the moment you pick an egg. An account only matters later, for meeting friends.
Can I hide it?
Click it on any page and pick “Hide on this site.” It will wait for you everywhere else.
What about phones and Steam?
Chrome, Edge and Firefox come first. A desktop version on Steam and phone apps come after that.
Take one home.
